About Cornflower
The goal of Cornflower is to share and promote the pleasure and art of haiku, haibun and haiga.
We focus on publishing work that reflects the characteristic traits of haiku in a contemporary context: the use of objective images, sensory experience, season words, juxtaposition, and the implicit and layered conveying of meaning and emotion, allowing readers to read between the lines.
Haiku that appear simple and commonplace, like a cornflower, yet reveal depth and beauty to those who look closer.
